FK Lowry have delivered the design and installation of 500 No. CFA Bearing Piles on the prestigious Spencer North Development in the Dublin Docklands. FK Lowry installed CFA Bearing Piles for their new client, PJ Hegarty & Sons on the Ronan Group Project off New Wapping Street . 423 No. 900mm diameter & 84 No. 600mm diameter CFA Bearing Piles were installed using FK Lowry’s modern Soilmec SR-75 & SR-95 dual discipline Piling Rigs. Ground Conditions were described as made ground & fill overlying medium dense to dense gravels before Dublin Black Boulder Clay was encountered down to 14m below ground. Piles were installed to depths ranging from 14m into the Black Boulder Clay for axial loads of up to 3500kN.

We helped develop the scheme with them and provided commercial and technical assistance for their Geotechnical Design. We were delighted to secure the Spencer North Scheme as its part of the overall regeneration of the famous Docklands Area in Dublin and comes on the back of a number of successfully delivered Commercial and Private Residential Scheme in the Capital”. FK Lowry deployed three of their modern Soilmec Piling Rigs on the scheme. Rigs which boast the latest Tier IV Engines that not only emit less emissions and pollutants but are more fuel efficient and therefore more environmentally friendly.
