Charles Brand on the Causeway Coast Way

12 Jan 2021

Charles Brand have commenced works at the Magheracross Viewpoint Scheme on the famous North Coast in County Antrim. The project, that will form part of a wider £1.5 million investment to boost rural tourism in County Antrim, is situated on the Causeway Coast Way, a walking trail stretching from Portstewart to Ballycastle.

The Project will include two new viewing platforms extending out to the edge of the stunning cliffs, maximising the wonderful views of Whiterocks Beach to the West and Dunluce Castle to the East. New pathways will also be constructed, in addition to new parking facilities and soft landscaping.

The project is funded through the Rural Tourism Scheme of DAERA’s Rural Development Programme, and was awarded £0.5m grant funding. The Magheracross project is part of an overall funding allocation of £1.5m under the Rural Development Programme, aimed at enhancing tourism in the Causeway Coast & Glens area.

The Causeway Coast and Glens is an incredible area of outstanding natural beauty and we were delighted to secure this scheme that will enhance the visitor experience to this wonderful region
